Blog post #3:

The most exciting or interesting event so far in the book is at Libby's house when she was sick. I thought this, because it is one of the first times that they hit it off and were acting like a couple. I thought it was interesting, because they were cuddling and watching movies together even though they aren't dating. It was one of the things that made them feel close to each other, and it was a chain reaction to them liking each other a lot more, and them not feeling as shy about their feelings. I think it was kind of awkward at first but gradually got less awkward.

The most exciting part of the book so far was the luau.

The most exciting part of the book so far is the luau. This is because it is the day Libby tells Tony about how she likes him, and pulls back even though he likes her too. Another reason this is the most exciting part of the book so far is because after that Tony kept e-mailing her and Libby ignored him for 5 months. This is also when Libby turns Parker down, but Parker still likes her. This was the night when Libby falls out of love with him, and decides to go to Florida for college. I think that this is an important event in general.

Favorite Event!

The most exciting event so far to me was the wedding. I think this because this is when Tony and Libby really hit it off. I say this because when we say what Tony was thinking he was much more engrossed in Libby and Libby only wore the dress that she did to impress Tony. Also when Tony needed Libby to act as his girlfriend she didn't skip a beat. So, it was a pretty big and important event since they Tony and Libby finally got their moment, and it really helped to shape the platform for the next events.
The most important part in the book in my opinion is when Libby and Tony kissed under the mistletoe because it is when both Tony and Libby showed how they felt about each other. It also started a chain reaction of them becoming closer together through the rest of the year because they were emailing each other and talking a lot more frequently than they used to. It blossomed their friendship which is hopefully leading to a relationship between the two. It was unexpected which made it even more exciting and romantic. It is when they decide that they would be able to be together in the future and can see they like each other.

The most exciting event in the story to me is probably when Libby got mad at Tony for not wanting to be with her or touch her. I think it was the most exciting event because it was full of suspense and romantic madness and chaos. It made me want to read more and more and then she walked out of the scene with Tony feeling like a jerk and Libby just being happy and not worried. I think this also because this scene was so romantic in a way at first which made me feel like something was going to go on, but then Tony pulled away from the kiss and then he felt uncomfortable and then Libby got mad and ran off. It kind of added more suspense to the story.

Blog post #2

A way the setting affects the mood is it shows the way the characters should be acting. An example is when Tony showed up at Libby's house when she was sick. If Libby wouldn't have been sick then Tony wouldn't have had any reason to go over there. It set a very cozy yet awkward mood when Tony and Libby were watching a movie together. Another time was when Libby and Tony were playing the game Monopoly. It gave the story a very fun and light- hearted mood, because the setting was late at night and because they had fun playing. The way the setting looks and how they describe it
can greatly impact what the mood is.

How Does the Setting Effect the Mood of the Story

(This is a specific part of the story). Libby is staying over at Mel's house, but Mel is sick. Tony didn't want her getting sick, so he let her sleep in his room. He and Libby play monopoly in his room. The game goes over many days. There are to ways that the setting affected the mood. First, they were in Tony's room, so it was easy to talk about stuff. Second, since the game spreads out over many days, they have plenty of time to get used to spending time alone with each other, as friends. This part of the story also effected the mood of the rest of the story.

Setting Affecting Mood

The setting in this book affects the mood by enlightening and creating conflict between the two main characters. This is shown when Libby and Tony are on a walk in the winter and it is cold and he gives her his coat, and this make for a very sweet and light hearted moment. Also now that Tony lives in New York he and Libby can't see each other as much, yet if you look at it a little differently you can see that if they did live closer they may have never gotten as close since they started email and texting after he moved. So, the setting has affected the mood by enlightening, or making it more romantic, but it has also added conflict or suspense.
The setting affects the mood of the story a lot because most of the romantic parts happen when Tony and libby are alone or at a romantic place. Some examples from the book is; when Tony and Libby were under the mistletoe, they kissed because it was also a romantic place and the mood of the story was loving and happy. Also, when Libby was staying in Tony's room and they played Monopoly all night, the mod of the story was thrilling and exciting. Also when Tony was at Libby's house and brought her soup. I think the mood there was cozy and warm. I think that the setting of the story does affect the mood of the story.
The setting affects the story's mood because it helps you know how the characters should be acting, and normally are acting. It also made certain situations happen. For example when they were outside walking and they were under the mistletoe, it forced them to have a more serious mood and kiss. Another time was during the wedding, there was dancing, pictures, and food which gave the story more of a happy and light-hearted feel at that time. The story had the setting help you know the mood when Libby was sick and in her room at night because it had a cozy feel then because she was relaxing at home alone.
